"On-way" surgery is a new option for Dr Troski's regional patients who require cataract surgery. The patient is first seen by their local optometrist who, when cataract is found, refers them to Dr Troski for an opinion. If the patient is referred with the "on-way" option they are assessed by Dr Troski in the morning and they can then progress to cataract surgery the same afternoon. After surgery the patient can then return home that day and see their local optometrist for review the next day, or be seen by Dr Troski for review the following morning and then return home. In this way, the travel to Melbourne is reduced and therefore the stress and inconvenience on family kept to the bare minimum.

"On-way" patients appreciate the co-ordination performed by the staff at Dr Troski's rooms and the reduced effort involved with their surgery. All arrangements are carried out by Dr Troski's staff making the process simple and stress-free for the patient and their family.
