Dr Samuel Troski was a well known Melbourne Ophthalmologist who established his practice in Collins St in the 1950's
Dr Troski was also appointed as a specialist ophthalmologist at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear hospital.
By co-locating his practice with the day surgery he has been able to provide patients with the option of having a full pre-operative consultation and surgery on the same day. This same day service allows patients to minimise their travel and is less stressful for some patients. Patients can see Dr Troski on the day of surgery or if they prefer they can be scheduled for a consulting appointment and biometry measurements on a separate consulting day.
Dr Troski has the latest equipment for biometry measurements, including the newly released IOL Master 700. Dr Troski and his team are dedicated to providing patients with the highest standard of cataract surgery available. Dr Troski regularly audits his cataract results and is actively involved in all of the latest improvements in cataract surgery. Dr Troski has pioneered a number of surgical techniques and intraocular lenses in Australia and regularly attends interstate and overseas conferences to keep up with the latest developments in cataract surgery.
In 2006 Dr Troski and a number of Ophthalmic surgeon colleagues built a dedicated day surgery in order to provide the latest state of the art facilities for patients as well as to be able to provide dedicated specialised nursing staff for eye surgery. They built the Victoria Parade Surgery Centre at 100 Victoria Parade so that patients would have access to a centrally located facility. Dr Troski moved his consulting practice to 100 Victoria Parade so that local, interstate and overseas patients all had access to this facility.
